6.1 The Fixtures View
The Fixtures View in the Home Screen is where all the fixtures in the show file are listed. Selecting fixtures is straightforward-just tap on a fixture to select or deselect it.
If the fixture has multiple instances, a double-tap on one of the instances will select or deselect all the instances of that fixture. Selected fixtures are easy to identify as they are highlighted with a green background.
If you need to make changes to a fixture, simply long-press on its item to open a menu.
From here, you can rename the fixture, add or change its colored border for easier identification, or permanently delete the fixture and all its associated information from the show file.
6.1.1 The Fixture View Context Menu (Magic Wand Button)
The Fixture View Context Menu offers additional tools relevant for the Fixture View. You can access this menu by clicking on the Magic Wand Button within the Fixtures View.
The menu includes the following options:
- Link Attributes:
This option allows you to link attributes of selected fixtures. This ensures that for example when “Red” is changed, the corresponding other colors are touched as well. - Show DMX Values:
Enable this option to display DMX values for fixtures in the values table and encoders instead of ranges. - Add Fixtures:
This option allows you to add and patch fixtures to your showfile. - Patch selected Fixtures:
This option allows you to patch selected fixtures.
6.1.2 The Fixture Item
The Fixture Item itself provides several layers of feedback to you:

6.1.3 Fixture Item Long-Click Menu
The long-click menu provides a fast way to change settings of a fixture.
- Long press on a fixture to open its menu. From this menu, you can:
- Change the fixture's name.
- Add or modify a colored border for the fixture item.
- Permanently delete the fixture and all associated information from the show file.
6.1.4 Working with Fixtures
Selecting and Deselecting Fixtures (Individual Instances)
To select or deselect a single instance of a fixture:
- Open the Fixtures View or Magic Sheet containing the fixture on either the internal or external screen.
- Tap on a fixture to select it.
To deselect a fixture, tap on the selected fixture again.
Selecting and Deselecting all instances of a fixture
To select or deselect a fixture including all of its instances:
- Open the Fixtures View or Magic Sheet containing the fixture on either the internal or external screen.
- Double-tap on a fixture to select it and all of its instances.
To deselect a fixture and all of its instances. double-tap on the selected fixture again.
Naming Fixtures
To rename a group:
- Press the Name key on the console's front panel, or long-press the fixture and choose the Change Name option.
- Select the fixture you wish to rename.
- A dialog will open, prompting you to enter the new name.
- Enter the desired name and press OK to confirm.
Setting Appearance (colored border) for a Fixture
To change the appearance (colored border) of a fixture:
- Press the Name key on the console's front panel twice. The command line will change to "Appearance."
- Select the fixture you want to modify by tapping on it in the Fixture View or Magic Sheet.
- Choose a new appearance color when prompted.
- Press OK to confirm.
Alternative Methods:
- Long-press the fixture and select Set Appearance. from the long-press menu.
6.1.5 Edit Fixture Dialog
You can open the Edit Fixture Dialog by pressing Edit on the front panel and selecting a group from either the internal or external Fixture View or MagicSheet.
The Edit Fixture Dialog provides the following options:
- Set Instance Name: Allows you to rename the selected instance only.
- Set All Instance names: Allows you to rename all instances that are part of a fixture
- Set Appearance: Lets you adjust the visual appearance of the fixture, such as adding a colored border.
